Mind Control

So Honda has now invented a way to control robots with only our thoughts. Scary and cool. I have enclosed the picture because the guy controlling the robot looked very familiar... possibly the scary part.

Technology

Okay, there are a lot of cool things that technology can do. In this example there are three things that get shown. The first on is a technology that changes all the swear words in a movie to baby laughter... I know, they get better. The second is if there is a depressing part in a movie it will automatically bring up something cheery, in this example it is kittens. And finally the steamy scenes in movies, oh yeah, those can be replaced with animation, that is probably the most strange.

Working Out!

I hate it. I use to really like it, but now time is restraining. So, I have started up with Burpee's. They can hurt your back if they aren't done right but they are a really good full body workout in a time crunch. I'll let Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs explain.

I am thinking this will be my next T-Shirt. How many people out there have any idea what this means? If you do, you are a geek! Welcome

Its in the tags.

New Favorite Song

This is now my new favorite song. Gone are the days of rock, or what's popular... Now, what the little one likes, I like.

Dumb, Dumb, Dumb

How stupid do you have to be, to try and steal guns from a gun show. Well I guess there are some people out there.

Laser Guns

Okay, so growing up watching G.I. Joe, they always use to have the coolest shoot outs with laser guns.

Now it would seem the laser gun is actually a reality with the development of Northrop Grumman's 100 Kilowatt laser.

And yes I will see the movie.

How to...

Today's "How To.." comes to us from AIG. I will title it, "How to survive a lynch mob"

See... we payed them, they used our money, and now they are using our money again to protect themselves from .... us.

Happy B-Day Kirk

WTF?

Does this administration even know where the United States is on a world map?! This is just the latest in a string of blunders with foreign governments.

Mistake after mistake in foreign affairs is not going to help our image around the world... Wouldn't we know that by now?

High Def TV's

I think that a lot of the High Definition hype lulls everyone into this situation. When I had our "big screen" 32-inch CRT TV I thought that it was the clearest TV we had ever owned. Well then TV's got flat and cheap so we decided to buy a 50" plasma. That was the threshold to High Definition for us.

Now we did this at a time when HD was new so even make-up artists for the news and TV were trying to figure out how to make the quality seamless.

I think this clip sums up what happened.

Trogdor

Even after all these years, I don't know why I was thinking of this but it is still funny. Strongbad's Trogdor

Post Office

Okay, so when you get a card or letter in the mail, and then you get a bill to pay for its shipping, doesn't that make you wonder about the policies at the post office? We had just such a thing happen the other day. We received a letter in the mail that had the usual postage on it, and taped to the outside of this was a bill for $0.17. That is right, one dime, a nickel and two pennies. So now I am going to see how far the post office wants to take this, there may be an update on this post.

Some how I get the feeling this would not work if I tried to short all my letters by a few cents and get the recipient to pay.

Twitter

I am Derek. I haven't gotten into the whole Twittering thing, simply because I just don't find the energy expenditure worth it.

Simplicity

This looks all to familiar.

School!!

I'm so new at this no school thing, I sometimes still get this dream.

Commercial

I don't know why the military needs commercials right now, since recruitment is doing well with the down turn of the economy, but I liked this one.

Nail on the Head

This was the best clip from the Daily Show I have seen in a very long time.

How many new conservative viewers will Jon Stewart get in the Age of Obama? If he offers up a few more segments like this, I’d guess more than a few. Stewart rips the Obama administration for its ideas on raising revenue by forcing wounded veterans to use private insurance to pay for service-related injuries.
